IN THE CLASSROOM THIS WEEK

From the Editor

I’ve rested up some over Spring Break, watched plenty of movies and played with my with and daughter. It’s time to read some comics and graphic novels and write some reviews for the upcoming weeks. It’s all good, my friends.

In other news, we were featured in the Spring 2009 cover issue of School & Community, a publication by the Missouri State Teachers Association (MSTA). The story and cover are not yet available from the MSTA website, but you can bet your bottom dollar I will post it when it is.

Hi! Maybe you can help me out... I'm looking for a graphic novel that is appropriate for students who are going to 5th grade. I would like to add one to the summer reading. I thought of the graphic novel INTO THE VOLCANO, but my principal thought it had some distrubing illustrations. Any suggestions?

There are so many great choices. If you click the BEST COMICS IN YOUR CLASSROOM link in the sidebar, it will take you to a list of all the great titles we have reviewed here, categorized by rating and age.

Be sure and look at ages that are younger. Our ratings are the lowest possible age.
